ABOUT JOHN

John Thomas is running for Colchester First Selectman as a Republican. A nearly 10-year resident of Colchester, John brings over 40 years of leadership as a business owner, corporate executive, and community servant. His career spans from sales and management in Fortune 100 companies, to banking, to building and running successful businesses both locally and globally. Today, he owns and operates a local life insurance company, where he continues to serve families with integrity and professionalism.

John has been married to his wife, Natalie, for 39 years, and together they have made Colchester their home. In Colchester, John is no stranger to public service. He served four years on the Colchester Board of Finance, where he earned a reputation for being a principled, common-sense conservative voice. With a lifetime of experience in business and leadership, he knows how to balance budgets, solve problems, and lead with both strength and compassion.

While John is a proud conservative with a proven record against “tax and spend” politics, he believes the challenges facing Colchester require common sense, solution-driven leadership that unites voters from both sides of the aisle. His focus is on delivering results for the people—not partisan politics.
